Yesterday I cut my living basket. I wanted to do this with all my willow, but it's damn cold and it is (just) 2 January. But today it will be 0 to -2 degrees, begin next week it will get warmer. (1-2-2004)
 
Snow on 22 December 2003    
Even on 22 December it snows. My living basket is cut My living basket is taken care of on January, 1st.

I am going to the 'weavesummerschool' in Wilhelminaoord, Holland a short distance of the Nationaal Vlechtmuseum in Noordwolde from 8 untill 13 August 2004. A short extract of the letter I got follows:
"...a lot of techniques and will be worked a diversity of materials.

    1 -Mary Butcher from England, in 2003 she had the beautiful exposition 'Carte Blanche' in the museum along with workshops. Although the workshop she gives is a follow-up course on the workshops she gave before, beginners are still welcome.

    2 -Joe Hogan, this Irish basketweaver gives a workshop in traditionel Irish weavetechniques. Joe weaves with willow...."

  After my rods did go out of the water last Friday, I didn't put any in because the water in my tank was frozen and the water did not leave by the hose. My whole hose is frozen!!
So I'll just have to wait

The menu I have is expanded with submenus. Now you can go, for example, in one time from product to round baskets 3a or 3b.

I quit weaving before the summer of 2004. I thought I could weave many things but had just enough for one big basket, which I finished this morning. My willow is not enough anymore because of two tanks.
But it's good this way.

  I finished my correspondence course. It is not realy my interest, but I finished it.

Last saturday (April, 24) I went to the contributorday in Noordwolde, Friesland, Holland where I saw a movie with and with the work of Joe Hogan. This exposition (Irish Basketmaking - Tradition Today) will take place from April, 25 - Augustus, 30 2004. But First I went by de stoelenmaeker, his shop and the Buitencentrum in Wilhelminaoord where I shall take part in the summerweaveschool.
