the basket on my table I have been experimenting with different coloured willow.  The basket on my table uses white willow as the sticks and stakes and a mixture of white and
brown for the weavers. The weave I have used is a 3  rod wale using different colour combinations but I can see lots of colour possibilities for other weaves (French randing etc.)
Unlike brown willow (willow with the bark still on) the white willow tended
to dry out and had to be kept moist if left for any time.

It took me about four weeks to make it . You must think what kind of
basket will it be, what white, what grey??
Then what kind of weavers. What will be the close- weaving??
A Dutch randing, or a French randing???
What kind of randing rod??
Do you need to wale or not???
